Originally from Vitorino Freire - Maranhão, Brazil. A state that was a trading point for cane sugar between the Portuguese and the Dutch and a home for native tribes and explorers. A mix of cultures that precisely represents who I am. 

 

I've started my professional and creative path in São Paulo, Brazil where I graduated with two BFAs, one in Visual Communication - Graphic Design and another in Advertising.

 

After working in agencies in São Paulo,  I decided to go to San Francisco, California for my Master's Degree in Graphic Design. I admit I have learned and changed a lot over the past 3 years I’ve been in San Francisco.

 

I'm still passionate about art, design and communication. However, I've also discovered new areas of interest in creative research, design thinking, user-centred design and social design. Creative process combined with design and research can be the most powerful tool there is.

 

I’m a positive thinker who believes in observing, researching, experimenting and learning about the world we live in, who were are, and our future as a global community as a way to improve human condition and livelihood.
